On Monday, Yale men’s basketball announced its upcoming Friday contest at Dartmouth will be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns and safety protocols within the Bulldogs program. The game will be rescheduled for a date and time to be determined by the two programs.
At the time of Yale’s canceled Dec. 23 game against Howard, team captain Jalen Gabbidon told the Yale Daily News that the team had no positive cases this season. Now concerns about COVID-19 within the program are great enough to force the team to miss its first two conference games.
Ivy fans will now have to wait to find out if Yale’s Sunday afternoon game at Harvard, which had its own COVID-19 concerns resulting in a postponed opening game against Princeton, will be held. Dartmouth, meanwhile, will look to rebound from its opening day loss at Cornell when they welcome Brown on Saturday night.
