After a road triumph at Old Dominion in the second round of the WNIT, Columbia is coming home.

The Lions will host Boston College in the Sweet 16 round of the WNIT Thursday at 7 p.m.

Columbia (24-6, 12-2 Ivy) lost to Boston College (21-11, 10-8 ACC) in their last meeting, a 74-60 defeat at BC in the 2017-18 season. The Lions beat the Eagles at Levien Gym in their first meeting the previous season, Megan Griffith’s first at the helm.

The victor will move on to the national quarterfinals, which will be played at campus sites from Saturday through Monday.

Thursday night’s matchup will be BC’s first WNIT game away from home. The Eagles blew out Maine and then Quinnipiac to get to the Sweet 16.

Tickets start at $12, but the first 500 students at the game will get in free, Columbia Athletics announced Tuesday. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Columbia is the last remaining Ivy still active in postseason play.
