Princeton women’s basketball and Taylor Charles swat away DePaul for fifth straight win

On a Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Taylor Charles served up a record-tying seven helpings of stuffing as the Princeton women’s basketball team rolled over the DePaul Blue Demons, 71-41, in a Sunday matinee at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Getting her first start of the season, Charles made the most of her opportunity.

Princeton women’s basketball mounts another fourth-quarter rally to defeat Rice in home opener

Another game, another fourth-quarter comeback.

So it goes this season for the Princeton women’s basketball team, which rallied again in the fourth quarter to win its home opener over Rice, 69-56, at Jadwin Gymnasium.

In the first ever meeting between the two programs, the Tigers once again made things difficult for themselves by missing shots early and often.

After Madison St. Rose tallied a layup to open the scoring for Princeton, a series of six missed shots and two turnovers resulted in eight consecutive empty possessions for the Tigers, a near-replay of Princeton’s first-quarter performance at Maryland on Sunday.

Princeton women’s basketball releases loaded 2025-26 schedule

Last March, the Princeton women’s basketball team reaffirmed a valuable lesson as it celebrated earning its sixth consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament: If you play a challenging schedule and win games, the NCAA Tournament selection committee will reward you.

The Tigers on Wednesday released their schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season, and once again, it’s loaded with top opponents.

The schedule includes 13 nonconference matchups, only four of which will be played within the friendly confines of Jadwin Gymnasium. The remaining nine games will be played either on the road or at a Thanksgiving week tournament site that has yet to be announced.

Overall, the Tigers will face at least two teams from the Big Ten, three teams from the Big East, two teams from the Atlantic 10, two teams from the American Conference, an ACC team, and a Missouri Valley Conference opponent, in addition to a full slate of Ivy League matchups. There are no cupcakes on this schedule.

Previewing another epic clash between Columbia and Princeton women’s basketball

Sole possession of first place in the Ivy League is on the line Saturday night when the Columbia Lions’ women’s basketball team travels to central New Jersey to face their biggest rival, the Princeton Tigers, at Jadwin Gymnasium. The game tips off at 5:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN+.

The clash provides Columbia (18-5, 9-1 Ivy) with an opportunity to regain control of the Ivy League regular season title chase after the Lions dropped a hard-fought battle to Harvard last week, 60-54, at Levien Gymnasium in Morningside Heights.

Princeton (18-5, 9-1) can also seize control of the Ivy race with a win and close out its home schedule on Saturday with a 12-0 record. The Tigers are currently riding a 30-game home-court winning streak, the longest such streak in the nation.

Who was the last team to defeat Princeton at home? You guessed it, the Columbia Lions. On Jan. 6, 2023, Megan Griffith’s squad strode into Jadwin Gym and took down the Tigers, 58-55, in an overtime thriller.
