Columbia at Yale men’s game rescheduled
The Columbia at Yale men’s game that was originally scheduled for Sun., Jan. 2 has been rescheduled for Tues., Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at John J. Lee Amphitheater, the Ivy League announced Wednesday.
The game was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns and protocols within Yale’s program. It will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Meghan Moore, Ivy League associate executive director of communications & championships, told Ivy Hoops Online that the league is committed to rescheduling all games that are postponed due to COVID-19.

Yale women outduel Army, 68-50
Two game balls were the order of the day for Yale Tuesday as the Eli women soundly defeated a good Army team, 68-50, at a John J. Lee Amphitheater sans fan attendance banned through Saturday as a precaution against COVID-19.
Both Jenna Clark and Camilla Emsbo had outstanding and very similar performances. They each contributed 20 points and eight assists in the winning cause.

Yale men put away Albany, 71-52
It was just a day at the office for Yale Tuesday night at John J. Lee Amphitheater.
The Bulldogs started strong, grabbed a 30-19 lead over Albany at intermission and never looked back en route to a 71-52 win.
Yale (6-5) led at one point by 56-31. Albany (1-7) did go on a 13-0 run to narrow the deficit a bit.
Even with the easy win, coach James Jones found ample room for improvement.
”I didn’t think we were very sharp,” the Albany alumnus said.
Yale men have up and down weekend with dominant win over UMass, blowout loss at Seton Hall
Yale had an up, then down weekend.
Yale faced a more talented foe Sunday in KenPom No. 35 Seton Hall at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Except for one spurt in the first half which cut the deficit to five, it was never a game. The Pirates won in a cakewalk, 80-44.
The perimeter defense for Seton Hall (2-0) held Yale (2-1) to 24% shooting and a paltry 13% from three.
Gabbidon led Yale with 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Cotton chipped in with 12 points.
Seton Hall faces No. 6 Michigan on Tuesday in Ann Arbor in a battle of teams formerly coached by Tommy Amaker.
Yale’s previous outing was a very different story.
Someone told me a few minutes into the Bulldogs’ matchup against Massachusetts at John J. Lee Amphitheater Friday night that while Yale and UMass may have nearly equal talent, Yale will win because
it has James Jones and a system. Bingo on both.
Yale men continue success against Princeton, remain atop Ivy standings
NEW HAVEN – The hegemony over Princeton continues for Yale at John J. Lee Amphitheater.
The Elis defeated the Tigers, 66-63, Yale’s sixth straight win in the series. The win also marks the ninth home weekend sweep of Princeton and Penn. To put this into historical context, Penn leads the overall series by 151-82 and Princeton leads it now 150-84.
